LISTENING EYE
A national telephone helpline (evenings only) for those having difficulty with failing sight. Staffed by people with visual impairment, so they have experience of coming to terms with it.

LIVING PAINTINGS TRUST
Aims to bring the world's great works of art to life for blind and partially sighted people. The Trust develops and loans out albums which contain audio descriptions of artworks, the artist, their style, etc, along with a raised diagrammatic representation of the work. Tel 01635 299771;

LONDON TRANSPORT FOR DISABLED PASSENGERS
Provides information on travel and transport in London, including a free large print Tube map with access information, large print bus guide, etc. London Transport also provides "Stationlink", a low-floor, low cost bus service which travels between London's main railway stations, making it easier for people who are less mobile.
