FUNDRAISING

At Vision Bath we need to raise at least £60,000 every year in order to provide continued support to all our visually impaired members. We raise this money through donations, collections, and a variety of money-raising events, but are always on the lookout for new ideas. You can help in many ways, big or small. For example, you could join our fundraising committee, or keep a home collection box on the hall table, or keep an eye on our website to check on upcoming events where you can come and support us.

Home collection boxes

These are small cardboard boxes that our members and supporters keep at home to collect their loose change - every little helps! Please let us know if you would like one of these and we can post it to you.

Individual donations

If you would like to make a regular donation to Vision Bath, whether monthly, quarterly or annually, you can download a standing order form by clicking here. Once complete, the form should be returned to Vision Bath.

If you are a UK resident and taxpayer, please remember that if you give through Gift Aid, it means that for every £1 you donate, Vision Bath receives £1.28, at no extra cost to you. All you need do is print out our Gift Aid declaration form which you can download here, and then send it back to us at the address on the form. We can then reclaim the tax you have already paid on any donations you send us.

Legacies
scroll

A legacy is a gift left in a will, and is a practical way for someone to continue to support Vision Bath after their death. The legacy might be a specific sum of money, object or piece of property, or the residual estate - what is left over after family, friends and other organisations have received specified legacies, and debts have been cleared.

If you think you may like to include Vision Bath in your will, contact your solicitor and ask that 'Bath and Wansdyke Society for the Blind and Partially Sighted' be included in the list of bequests in your will. This is our official name as recognised by the Charities Commission. Thank you.

Fundraising ideas
coffee

We are always looking for ideas to help raise money in order to continue our work. If you think you might like to organise an event with friends, neighbours or work colleagues, do contact our fundraising committee. For example, you might want to organise a wine tasting evening, hold a darts match, lead a sponsored walk, or have a coffee morning. We can support you by providing advice, posters, collecting boxes, etc.

For more information, please contact us on 01225 446555.
